This course is a simple foraging walk where we hope to be able to identify a selection of Spring shoots and edible plants and flowers, plus hopefully some edible spring mushrooms.
We will meet in the Shalford Park car park at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.
After a 2-3 hour walk around the park we will end the day with a wild food lunch.
We will email all of you details of all the plants we find to help you remember what you have learnt.
We recommend you bring
- Warm protective clothing and footwear
- Camera
- Note pad/pen
- A drink
Under 12 year olds can come for free, within reason; but please let us know how many will be coming in advance.
