“The afternoon was brilliant and I learned a great deal about plants that are all around us and perfectly edible, some of which I already knew a little about, but most of it was new to me.  The location to meet was fantastic, a charming pub (The Cleave, Lustleigh) and the foraging route through the nearby fields, over streams and boulders was beautiful. Phil was engaging, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. During the route we tasted elder flower champagne, hogweed and wild garlic soup and not forgetting the damson leather (Yum yum!) we finished the course by sampling his homemade tart, wild garlic pesto accompanied by the salad that we gathered ourselves including , pink sorrel,  chickweed, clover flowers and of course washed down by a decent pint from the pub!”
