This course is a simple foraging walk where we will identify a selection of edible and poisonous plants, flowers, fruits and mushrooms.
The meeting place will be The Flotterstone Inn
Milton Bridge,
Midlothian
EH26 0PP
After a 2 to 3 hour walk the area and surrounding woods we will go back to the Flotterstone Inn to end the day with a tasty wild food lunch.
We will email all of you details of all the plants we find to help you remember what you have learnt.
We recommend you bring
- Warm protective clothing and footwear
- Camera
- Note pad/pen
Under 12 year olds can come for free, within reason; but please let us know how many will be coming in advance.
Drinks at the pub are available but not included.
Please note that 3:30pm is only an approximate finish time and depending on certain factors, the course could run until 4pm.
