Cheshire, Marbury Country Park Spring Foraging Course

Opposite the toilets and food van there is a covered area of picnic benches, we will meet there at 12pm.

Please note that you cannot access the park via Marbury Lane from the south as there is a locked barrier across the road approximately 1.7 miles from the park.

All our courses start with a talk on our foraging rules. We’ll then set off for roughly a 2.5 hour walk around the area, identifying the edible and poisonous species we find, and picking some for the meal later on. Along the way, we’ll stop for some pre-prepared wild food treats. At the end, we’ll create a meal based on what has been found. Then after the course, you will be emailed course notes to help you remember everything you have learnt.

We recommend you bring

• Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and footwear
• Camera
• Note pad/pen
• A drink

While masks are not mandatory, feel free to wear one if it makes you feel more comfortable. Please also bring your own cup for drinks during the walk, and plate and cutlery for the meal at the end of the course.

Under 12 year olds can come for free, within reason; but please let us know how many will be coming in advance.

3:30pm is only an approximate finish time and depending on certain factors, the course could run until 4pm.
