Ayrshire, Craigengillan Summer Field Mycology and Mushroom Foraging Course

For today’s course your mycologist will be Attila Fodi, who will be joined by our foraging instructor Jordan McKeating!

This is a specialist Field Mycology and Mushroom Foraging Course.
The course is perhaps more suited to people who already have experience identifying mushrooms, rather than novices. Not suitable for children under 12 years.

Craigengillan is an award-winning, 3000 acre estate, encompassing new and ancient native woodland, pasture, wetlands, heaths and lochs, set amidst the hills of the Southern Uplands of Scotland.

We will meet in the main courtyard at 12pm. 

As you approach the buildings, the lane will continue to the left. Don’t follow the lane, instead drive straight ahead into the main courtyard parking area. Our instructor will meet you here.

For your day, we recommend you bring:

Comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and footwear
Cup for refreshment during the walk
Plate and cutlery for the meal at the end of the course
Water/drink to stay hydrated
Camera, note pad & pen

4:30pm is only an approximate finish time and depending on circumstances, the course could run until 5pm.
