ABOUT THE COURSE
Introducing our new Thrifty Foraging Courses in Cardiff! These ‘pocket friendly’ courses are shorter in duration and won’t include the 3 course lunch, but they will still be packed full of foraging facts and useful information, to help you to add variety and nutrition to your daily diet while spending less!
These shorter courses have been designed to help you to utilise the edible wild foods, that can be found on your very own doorstep.
Your instructor will teach you the fundamental skills required to safely gather a variety of seasonal wild foods, to supplement your weekly food shop and help you to save money. Depending on the season, you’ll learn about the variety of fresh greens, berries, flowers, nuts and mushrooms that are available at the time of your course.
At Wild Food UK, sustainable foraging is a priority. We’ll teach you the best practices when foraging to leave a minimal impact on the ecosystem, whilst adding fresh healthy ingredients to your daily diet.
You will receive a comprehensive set of Wild Food UK ‘Course Notes’ a few days after your course. This email will contain links and articles relating to the plants and mushrooms we discovered or discussed during the day.
Refreshments are available from the cafe.
Visit the Bute Park website to see if they have an event before or after your course, to make the most of your day!
