ABOUT THE COURSE

This Autumn, we’re excited to be back once more teaching all about foraging, within the beautiful grounds at Bryngwyn Manor!

The Manor boasts 3 acres of gardens, including meadows, ponds, and mature trees making it perfect for an Autumn forage!

Our experienced foraging instructor Dr. Rob Judson, will guide a walk around the gardens and grounds of Bryngwyn Manor, teaching you the basics of identification, safety and ethical foraging practices. Dr. Rob will show you how to identify the seasonal edible and poisonous plants, berries, fruits and mushrooms that we find along the way. There will also be an opportunity to sample some treats made with foraged ingredients, such as our lovely wild mushroom soup.

Following the walk, it’s back to the Manor for a tasty wild food lunch. This will include some treats made from our finds, perhaps a wild salad that we will pick on the day and hopefully some delicious wild mushrooms! There will also be some lovely cake available, courtesy of Louise at the Manor.
Louise will kindly donate some of the profits to a local charity of her choosing.

After the course, we will email you the course notes detailing everything we talked about and found on the day, to help you to remember what you have learned.
