This course is a simple foraging walk where we will identify a number of edible and poisonous wild mushrooms, fruits and plants.
We will meet in The Star at 12pm. The course starts there with a 20 minute introduction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes where they relate to foragers.
After a 2 to 3 hour walk around the local area we will go back to the Star to discuss and taste our finds over a light lunch.
We will email all of you details of everything that we find to help you remember what you have learnt.
We recommend you bring
- Warm protective clothing and footwear
- Camera
- Note pad/pen
Under 12 year olds can come for free, within reason; but please let us know how many will be coming in advance.
Drinks at the pub are not included.
Please note that 3:30pm is only an approximate finish time and depending on certain factors, the course could run until 4pm.
