Norman Court is an elegant Grade 2 listed manor house, nestled amidst 45 acres of beautiful woodland and countryside on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border. The education centre is open to all companies, groups and charities who are looking for a unique venue for residential and non-residential educational courses, and we’re lucky enough to be running our foraging courses from here.

We will meet at the cafe on site. The course starts there with a short introduction on what to look for, our foraging code and a brief of the Countryside Act, where it relates to foraging. Drinks are available from the cafe.

Then we’ll set off on a roughly 2.5 hour walk around the estate, teaching you how to identify the different edible and poisonous plants and mushrooms that we find. The photos in this page were taken at the Court :).

We will stop along the way for some seasonal homemade refreshments such as our lovely wild mushroom soup, elderflower champagne or fruit leathers.

Then it’s back to the starting point for a wild food lunch based on what we have found. All of our food is seasonal, so what we make depends on the recent weather conditions and what is usually around at that time of year. In spring we will be making use of the fresh wild greens and in autumn the array of tasty wild mushrooms that the area has to offer.

After the course, we will email you a list of everything we talked about on the day to help you to remember what you have learnt.
