SUMMARY:Oxford Green Week Summer Foraging Course
DESCRIPTION:We will meet in front of Oxford Brookes Sports Centre on Headin
 gton Campus at 12pm for a short introduction on what to look for and a br
 ief of the general countryside codes\, where they relate to foragers.\n\nA
 fter the talk we’ll set off for a 2-3 hour walk identifying the differen
 t edible and poisonous plants\, flowers\, fruits and mushrooms that we fin
 d. There will be breaks along the way for some homemade refreshments such 
 as our lovely wild food soup.\n\nWe will finish the day off with a light w
 ild food lunch based on what we have found. This will include some tasty t
 reats made from our recent finds\, a wild salad that we will pick on the d
 ay and possibly even some wild garlic pesto or creamy wild mushrooms.\n\nA
 fter the walk we will email you details of all the plants and mushrooms we
  find to help you remember what you have learnt.\n\nThis course is being k
 indly subsidised by Oxford Brookes University Sustainability team making i
 t 50% the normal price.\n\nParking in the local area is extremely limited 
 with none at the University. Active travel or public transport is convenie
 nt with a nearby bus stop and bike racks.
