SUMMARY:New Forest Autumn Fungi Foraging Course
DESCRIPTION:Our Autumn foraging course in the New Forest will start with a 
 talk on the do's and don'ts of foraging in the Red Shoot Inn followed by a
 pproximately a three hour walk around the forest near the pub.\n\nThis cou
 rse is a simple foraging walk where we hope to be able to identify a selec
 tion of edible and poisonous wild mushrooms\, plus some tasty fruits and p
 lants.\n\nWe'll all get to taste some lovely wild mushroom soup\, and hope
 fully some elderflower champagne when we stop for a break on the walk\, th
 en we'll all get to taste our finds at the end of the walk where we'll coo
 k some mushrooms picked from elsewhere at our nearby campsite :).\n\nWe wi
 ll meet at 12pm in the\n\nRed Shoot at Ringwood\nToms Lane\nLinwood\nRingw
 ood\nHampshire\nBH24 3QT\n\nThe course starts there with a 30 minute intro
 duction on what to look for and a brief of the general countryside codes w
 here they relate to foragers.\n\nAfter a 2 to 3 hour walk around the woods
  we will go back to the Red Shoot to discuss and taste our finds.\n\nWe wi
 ll email all of you details of all the plants we find to help you remember
  what you have learnt.\n\nWe recommend you bring\n\n	Warm protective cloth
 ing and footwear\n	Camera\n	Note pad/pen\n\nUnder 12 year olds can come fo
 r free\, within reason\; but please let us know how many will be coming in
  advance.\nDrinks at the pub are not included.
