There is some roadside parking nearby\, if required. \nPlease note that there is a 5 minute walk along a quiet country road to get to High S tand Woods\, where we will do much of our walk. If you are bringing young children\, please be aware that there is a small pond in the woods. Well b ehaved dogs are permitted\, but please keep them on a lead\, as there is l ivestock in the adjacent field.\nAll our courses start with a talk on our foraging guidelines. We’ll then set off for roughly a 2.5 hour\, slow-pa ced walk around the area\, identifying the edible plants and mushrooms tha t we find\, and picking some for the meal later on. We'll also identify th e poisonous species and learn what to avoid when foraging. Along the way\, we’ll stop for some pre-prepared wild food treats. At the end\, we’ll create a meal based on what has been found. Then after the course\, you w ill be emailed course notes to help you remember everything you have learn t.\nFor your day\, we recommend you bring\n\n Comfortable\, weather approp riate clothing and footwear\n Cup to try our drinks/soup during the walk\n Plate and cutlery for the meal at the end of the course\n Water / drink t o stay hydrated\n Camera\, note pad &\; pen\n\nUnder 12 year olds can c ome for free\, within reason\; but please let us know how many will be com ing in advance so that we can make catering arrangements.\n3:30pm is only an approximate finish time and depending on certain factors\, the course c ould run until 4pm.
